Because sometimes you need to kick your own butt

After a lot of stewing, whining, and feeling sorry for myself while downing fast food or huge Frappuccinos I finally decided that I'm SO OVER being fat.

Seriously, I liked my body when I was thin and healthy WAY MORE than I like this Grande Caramel Frap (right?).

Although I know this won't be easy I'm determined to get all this extra weight off. I've never been this big EVER, except when I was pregnant....and the fact that I'm approaching the weight I was the day they checked me in to deliver Jackson....well, that's just pathetic.

Right now I weigh 210 (see below). I want to weigh below 150 before this is all over.

Dave said to frown for effect, so I did.

I would LOVE to weigh 135 again, which is what I was when I started college.

I'm using 3 tools to get back to healthy, happy weight:

The Daily Plate: Which helps you track your Calories and Exercise for free!

The 30 Day Shred DVD with Jillian Michaels

A very simple diet:
  • Scrambled Egg Whites, 1 slice 9 Grain toast w/ 1 t Sugar Free Jam and Light & Fit yogurt for Breakfast
  • 1/4 cup Almonds and Banana for Morning Snack
  • 1 Apple, 1 Large Colorful Salad, 2 T Dressing, and Grilled Chicken Breast for Lunch
  • Handful of Baby Carrots and 2 Rice Cakes with 2 T Peanut Butter for Afternoon Snack
  • 2 steamed veggies, 1 small multi grain roll, and 1 serving of lean protein for Dinner
  • Skinny Cow Sugar Free Ice Cream Sandwich for Dessert
And of course...obscene amounts of water, which I hate to drink, but I'm past that (mostly).

So yeah, today is my 3rd day already, I'm so sore, but I feel better.

This is good stuff folks.

Good Stuff.

  3. Haley, I am so proud of you! You can do this! I just started back to weight watchers on Monday, but I have been sick all week and haven't stuck to the plan at all. I will though. I will! Can't wait to read about your progress. :-)

  4. I'm sitting in the same boat right now! I started the Belly Fat Cure diet by Jorge Cruise two weeks ago and without adding exercise, I've lost an inch and a half off my waist and 5 inches off my belly button region! I'm adding in exercise this week to help it along. Good luck. I'll be cheering you on!

By the way, here's my post from August when I started a local Biggest Loser competition. When I saw your picture, it reminded me of my own!
