So, here is a very tired Jackson showing off the only language he knows...his own.
Jackson has been a little late on all developmental things (and I'm totally OK with that) I mean, he didn't even walk till 16 months....and yet they all come in time.
He now runs everywhere...so really in the end...that delay just meant I got to enjoy sitting down a little longer.
With the talking thing...some people have made really nasty, unwelcome comments. They want to know what's wrong with him.
Best I can tell, there's NOTHING wrong with him.
He is conversational...we just don't know what he's saying to us.
And, he understands and listens quite well. He's good at following instructions.
He uses Baby Sign Language everyday to tell me he's hungry, all done, or wants more.
So really, to me....that's all that matters.
Besides, I'm glad he speaks this sweet little gibberish right. I know one day I'm going to look back and miss it.

Your positive attitude is refreshing!
our 3 year old was like that. she had her own little language until she was almost 3. now, she is as clear as can be.
Most kids don't really talk until after 3. Mason was late on walking and talking as well, but now that he is five, you would NEVER have guessed it! I even had early childhood development people coming weekly to help Mason with communication when he was 2 and really he was just on his own page. For the most part though, kids all catch up to the same point developmentally around 5 years old and thats why they start school then. I don't stress Zoe's development one single bit!
He'll never catch up...he'll be thirty five years old and still wearing diapers and talking like that
Oh, husband of mine. You're not as funny as you think. ;-)
