Full Circle

I remember when I was a little girl, I used to love to ride in the car with mom when she ran errands..... especially if she was going to stop at the bank.

Even before we would pull up to the vacuum tubes (as I called them)...I would begin asking her if the tellers would give me a lollipop...though I already knew the answer to this question.

She would say "I don't know Haley, they might not have any today...we will just have to see."

And so, on a good day...if the teller saw me or my brother in the car with my mom...she would throw a couple of dums dums in the tube for us....and we would go home super happy.

*************

The other afternoon I pulled up at the bank to deposit my AVON money. Imagine my surprise when the tube came back with 2 lollipops inside!

It was like being a kid all over again...except this time one of the lollis was for my child....and then it hit home just where I'm at in life.

And that made me smile inside.

  1. See? That's why America is fat. Bank tellers are giving out TWO dum dums for ONE two year old.
