Let's get serious

Well really, you don't have to....but I do! Yesterday I had a good long conversation with myself about my health and weight and then I began what I hope the most successful diet to date.

Not just because I want to be a thin, Hot Mamma, but because I'm really REALLY tired of feeling bad all the time.

And I only have myself to blame, so I went back to the gym yesterday, and will continue to do so regularly. I'm also on the Nutrisystem diet, thanks to a generous Christmas gift from my Mommy! I went on that diet for a short time after I had Jackson and I lost 20lbs, but since then I h ave of course gained that back, and then some.

I'm not even embarrassed to tell you all any of this because I am truly ready for a change! I want to lose 70 lbs overall, but if I get to 5o I'll be thrilled!

So yeah, if I'm a bit crabby it's because me and McDonald's have broken up, but it's good thing. :-)

I'm so ready to feel better, inside and out!

  1. The biggest barrier to weight loss is our own minds. We really truly have to decide that we WANT to feel better. I'm also striving to eat healthier and excercise, and I'm seeing much more success than when I simply wanted to "get skinny." I've realized that I feel so much better when I eat healthy foods and get some exercise. I've also learned the difference between that super-stuffed feeling after you eat a crummy meal as opposed to the satisfied feeling after eating a nutritious meal. The heartburn goes away, for one!

Good luck to you as you continue with good health!

  2. Good Luck! I'm sure you will do great. Just keep your focus. I will be trying to lose weight this summer after the baby comes but at least I will have all the people in bathing suits and shorts around to keep me motivated.

  3. I'm right there with ya. I've got a good 70+lbs to lose as well. Here's hoping that 2009 will be THE year that we can accomplish our weight loss goas. Good luck to you!

  5. You can do it girl - I believe in you!

One thing I know about us "Taurus'" is that once we really put our mind to something... WE CAN"T BE STOPPED!

And I know if that "old" fat girl can do it... so can you! :)

    Love you!
