It's no wonder!

This morning as I was sitting here trying to think of something special to do for myself today, I realized it's no wonder that I am a fat cow right now trying to lose 70 lbs!

Each time I would think of something special for myself this afternoon, it would involve food. Fast food or sit down food...inevitably food that is all high cal. and carb. :-(

I realized then, that the way I have been treating myself since Jackson was born was by eating! I guess because I could do it with him right there, and it didn't involve a lot of effort, but the satisfaction I would get from it would be so great!....And so I now know why I am so fat. :-(

Boy, how sad...

So, can you all out there help me think of ways to treat myself besides with food, obviously I need help in this area.

  1. Treat yourself to a pedicure. Or go shopping. Bear loves to be pushed around the mall in his stroller. There is the temptation to eat but there are also cute clothes to make you think about losing weight. Leave Jackson home with his daddy and take yourself to a movie.

  2. I was going to suggest a pedi or a mani. Or -- how about a massage? Or go for a new "do"? I'm right there with ya though...lots and lots of lbs to shed...it's not an easy task, but hopefully we can both accomplish it! Good luck!

  3. My treat only comes after I workout usually. If I am still thinking about food I will make a protein powder shake. (peanut butter, chocolate flavored powder, milk, ice and a banana) it's sweet but not like chocolate that you regret later. *shrugs* However, that trend is restarting Monday because I have had a crappy week and now feel bloaty from being sedentary all week.

  4. A pedicure... or a new book? maybe some scrapping supplies... how about a new outfit when you lose a certain no. of #s?

I always eat out with friends. So I associate having fun with friends with eating. So much revolves around food...

  5. Scrapbooking supplies! Extra time cardmaking! A trip to the mall BY YOURSELF for some window shopping!

  6. Congrats on your first successful week. I am trying to be a healthier person because of my asthmas and heart problems. I'll be thinking about you and good luck. Treat yourself to something that makes you happy for a job well done!
