She has an awesome post about how much Consignment Stores, Etsy shops and Toy Makers will suffer if the government put into affect The CPSIA on Feb 10th. The Act doesn't just affect toys, if put into affect it would make selling used Childrens Clothes in consignment shops (and at garage sales) illegal!
Please, please, read her post and do whatever you can to help! I now have two buttons in my sidebar, and I've written all my representatives. As someone who sells on Etsy and who is close friends with a Consignment shop owner, I feel this issue needs lots of attention right now!

You're totally right-this is such a serious situation and will be terrible if it's not stopped! I signed the online petition and wrote my representatives.
