I'll see you next year...

I know that's a really cheesy and overused expression, but I'm too tired to come up with anything more catchy.

This Mommy needs the next few days to deep clean...my house, my thoughts, and my ambitions for the year to come.

See ya'll then!

It's over already?

Tossing wrapping paper!

Daddy and Baby J!

At first I was mad that the pictures came out blurry, but now, I think it looks kind of neat!

Opening one of the MANY Little People sets!

Riding on his new Zebra from Grandma Delores! :-)

Just like in these photos, the Holiday season has come and gone in a blur for me. I'm pretty tired, a little sick (stupid asthma!), and in shock that my little man just had his 2nd Christmas!

He's growing too fast...that's all I can really say! But at least he makes some really cute photos! :-)

Just in time for Christmas!

Here is a Mini-Book is just finished! It's a book of our Families traditions.
A couple of the pages are still blank since we are a fairly new family and are still coming up with traditions each year. I'm really in love with it, it just feels so cozy to look at! My friend Virginia, the best scrapper I know, designed this kit using the accu-cut machine! Anyway, I felt like it was the perfect project to show off right here before Christmas!

What Mommy wants this Christmas (formerly my obnoxious wish list)

I'm not asking for alot...but if Santa wanted to know what it is I would just love....here's a list. Not nearly as obnoxious as in years past...being a Mommy has just humbled me I guess. :-)

Ok, so I guess the stroller really isn't for me, but still, I want it....is that ok?

It's pink, it's COACH. Nuff said. :-)

Surprisingly, I don't want my Nano to be pink, actually I really like it in that Tangerine shade!

So there you have it Mr. Claus....

And if your elves can't whip up those things in time, I'd just like some extra sleep occasionly...I bet you can manage that...right?

Merry Christmas everyone!

It seemed like a good idea at the time.....

Of course, after about five minutes of Jackson's "music" I began to ask myself ...."What on earth was I thinking?"

But, it made for some reasonably cute photos....that will of course lead to a cute scrappy layout, so I can't really complain, although I did need a good dose of Ibuprofen later that evening. :-)

I am currently more than frustrated with the insanity that the Holidays have brought upon me. All I really want to do is finish scrapping the Disney photos, so I can start scrapping all the photos I've taken since then.

I've also been avoiding cleaning my house the past couple of days because, well, I just don't feel like it. Although, as of this morning, I feel that I probably cannot ignore it any longer...so maybe today will be productive!

I also have to make a tray of cupcakes and Chicken Nuggets for Jackson's daycare Christmas party tomorrow. Fun! Fun! Hopefully, that will make for some cute pictures!

See ya tomorrow!

Christmas Pictures!

Taking these wasn't exactly easy, Jackson really wanted to just crawl around the portrait studio and see what he could get into, he wasn't really impressed with the plastic ornament we kept handing him...but here are all the photos for you to see anyway...I think they tell a cute story! :-) So this is super photo heavy post....sorry...I'm a proud Mommy!

And just in case you're curious, I didn't buy over half of these poses for obvious reasons. But the ones I did buy, I LOVE!

Those last two are the special "enhancements" you can buy with your pictures, I got both because I love the way they look!

Have a great day! And thanks for looking at ALL these pics of my kid! It feels nice to be able to show him off a little! :-)

Casual Holiday Style

So yesterday, my Mom, the best mom ever (aside from me of course hehe), bought me some new clothes...and I'm super glad, because mine were getting pretty worn out.

I have this problem where, anytime I have extra money to go clothes shopping, I arrive at the store and buy lots of cute clothes.........for Jackson.

Needless to say, my clothes supply is running thin, literally.

So as of today I have a stylish (and warm!) fleece jacket, THIS adorable tee, and THESE wonderful shoes! Don't you just love Target?

At least now, I feel renewed, and stylish....in a mommy sort of way!

Have a great day!

The "moo" blew my cover

Often, my friends without children have asked me how I can stand all of Jackson's toys that are musical or that make sounds. My answer (as is the answer of most parents, I'm certain) is that they don't bother me because I have just learned to tune them out. Just one of those things parents learn to do to maintain a tiny bit of sanity I guess.

So, the fact that Jackson has a small toy cow that "moos" is really no issue for me either. Well at least not until yesterday....

So, as I was discussing in an earlier post, my baby boy is cutting teeth and to say that has made him fussy would be a gross understatement. So we have been getting through the past couple of weeks one day and one dose of Motrin at a time.

The discomfort really has Jackson high-strung and so the baby that is normally so easy to put to sleep is suddenly not excited about the idea of his crib AT ALL! So last night I'm rocking him, and singing and trying anything I can think of to soothe my exhausted little man.

He FINALLY dozed off and I sat in the rocker with him an extra 10 minutes just to be sure he would be in a deeper sleep when I laid him in the crib. All was successful, I got him laid down and covered him up.

Then I decided (neat freak ALERT!!!) I should gather the few stuffed toys that were laying in his bed from earlier. I picked them all up at once and then deposited them into his toy basket next to the bed.

That's when IT HAPPENED! The cow, triggered by being squeezed, let out a HUGE SCREECHING "MOOOOOOO" (which, at this exact moment, seemed as loud as a bullet train coming through the room) ! I panicked, frozen in my spot, only to find that Jackson has rolled over, is smiling and wants to play with his COW!!!!

AhhHHHHH AHHhhhhh AAAAhhhhH..... (only in my brain is this heard of course)

But it was only a false alarm.

He rolled back over and closed his eyes about two seconds later. PHEW!!!!

Lesson here: Leave the mess for later, a sleeping baby is fragile thing, especially while teething!

Have a great day!
