It's my Birthday! (and I'll sleep in if it want to!)

Yes. you read that right, for the first time since Baby J was born I got to sleep in this morning, because my fabulous hubby took care of Baby J so I could have a birthday snooze! I feel really good to have gotten the extra rest, but I also feel a little conflicted too.

I came downstairs to find several messes that I could have been cleaning this morning and kind of freaked out! LOL! Maybe that's why I don't sleep all the time anymore. hehe. So, having tackled a couple of those messes already, I'm going to write this post, and then finish cleaning my house.

Some Birthday huh? :-)

Dave and I will be going to dinner this evening, but really that's all that's going on, at least that I know of. ;-)

Also, Happy Birthday to my SIL Alicia!!!!

Happy Wednesday All!

Another busy day!

Well in a little while I'm off to run errands and do some scrappy pre-birthday shopping! :-)
But I wouldn't want to leave you without some awesome pics to look at...so here they are!

First is a layout. I LOVE the way it turned out! Almost everything on it is American Crafts. When I took the photo of the rose I knew it would make a wonderful lo, and it did!

And of course my sweet Baby J! Gosh I love him!

Happy Tuesday All! Yay for My Birthday tomorrow!!!! :D

Another week gone? Really?

Is it just me or has the year just been blowing by? Crazy!!! Jackson just turned 8 months (on the 21st) and now my 24th birthday is almost upon us (Wednesday!!!!! Yay!) Time just won't slow down for me... in fact I think it's speeding up.

I have an enormous stack of pictures just waiting to be scrapped, and not nearly enough time to scrap them. Oh well. I'm working as hard on them as I can.

So, who's super excited about National Scrapbooking Day (May 1st)???? I am for sure! I'm gonna have a ton of scrappy fun this week. Tomorrow I'm going to Archivers to take an Acrylic Book class! I am sooo excited about this. I have been wanting to do a project with acrylic for awhile...I can't wait to see how it turns out. :-D I'm also going to Michaels and Hobby Lobby because I have coupons! I think I'm going to get a Crop-a-Dile Big Bite with one of them. Ever since I used one at the all-night crop I can't seem to live without it. :-)

Oh!!!!! Yeah, so guess what Dave got me for my birthday????? A Cricut!!!!! I LOVE IT! (and him for being the best husband ever!!!) I've been using it for about 2 weeks (we always give gifts early, it's just our weird thing) and it is so totally awesome. The ease and convenience of it just blows me away!

So here's a layout where I used it to cut the letters. The photo of Dave and Jackson was taken on Dave's Birthday a couple of weeks ago.

Happy Monday!

Boy, did I call that one!

Well only a few hours after I wrote the post about my asthma being so bad, I found myself in the ER. In all honesty going to the ER isn't that big of a deal for a life-long asthmatic like me, you just know when you are past the point of your medication at home helping you. So I went.

So anyway, now that I have had a good dose of steroids (no, not the muscle kind hehe) and lots of new medicine for my nebulizer, I feel way way better.

And so, here finally, are my hair photos. The aren't great cause I just snapped them really quick, but you'll at least see my hair (please disregard my sunkissed, non made up face.)

I know, I know...

I promised hair pictures, and they aren't up yet. Sorry, my asthma has really been giving a run for my money these last few days. Yesterday I had an attack so bad, I barely made it in the house with Baby J before running to my nebulizer for a breathing treatment (asthma is no fun at all). :-(

Anywho, I'm going to try to get some pics and post them up here a.s.a.p. Just be patient with me... I'm short of breath...literally. hehe.

I'm excited about today because my buddy Rachel is coming over to crop! Woohoo! :-)

Hope you have an awesome weekend!

P.S. It's only 5 days till my birthday! Yay!

Can you say Hot Mamma?

I can after yesterday!! I got my hair cut and colored (with Baby J present...he was good the whole time!!! :-) , my eyebrows waxed, and a pedicure! I feel better than I have in awhile! I was happy that I managed to fit all those things into my day along with my SU! party! Needless to say though, I fell straight into the bed when I got home last night!

It went really well and I even got another booking out of it! I am VERY pleased with how things turned out!

I'll get pics of my hair tonight so I can post them tomorrow! I can't wait for ya'll to see. Right now though I'm cleaning the house and look gross, so you'll just have to wait. :-)

Happy Wednesday!

**P.S. I'm having a HUGE SALE on Diaper Wreaths at My Etsy until May 1st, so if you want one now would be the time to buy! :-)**

One Fine Day Album

Since I'm going to be out of pocket all day with a SU! Workshop, I thought I'd leave you with photos of my latest completed project.

This album celebrates Jackson's birth and the first few months of his life. While I would love to say that the idea and fabulous designs are mine, I am just as proud to say they are the creative genius of one of my scrappy friends. V- you are amazing! :-) Check her out here.

Enjoy the pics and the day!

Busy weekend, busy week

Well I had a busy weekend and the week ahead seems to be just as packed. I hoping everything goes smoothly. I have a big SU! party tomorrow, so I've been getting ready for it. I also went and visited my SIL and their family to celebrate our shared birthday (which isn't till the 30th, but like I said my schedule is just packed this month!). It was fun. She has a 4 month old and so it was funny to lay her down with Jackson and see what happened. :-)

I can't really write much today, I have tons of errands to run, but I wanted to leave you with a layout took look at! (click to enlarge the image)

This is "Same Face (different day)" I love it because when I found the two pictures and placed them together, I was shocked at the similarity...so I had to make a layout about it! Enjoy!

Boardwalk Photos!

McKenna on the Carousel

Jackson having an amazing time! LOL We had to cover him up b/c the sea breeze was cool!

The Ferris Wheel

Here's my sweet boy awake! He just loved this trip, well any trip outside really. :-)

I love this photo! I didn't even tell her to pose or anything, she just did that!

Feeding the Stingrays! Very, very cool!

A close-up view of the rays.

My mom helping McKenna touch them.

The Boardwalk.

McKenna looking out over the bay.

This was a great trip. My mom and I decided that we should try a make a trip somewhere fun every week, because there no reason we shouldn't be getting out and enjoying our beautiful state!

A long day

Today I went to The Kemah Boardwalk with my Mom, McKenna, and Baby J. I got up at 6:30 am this morning and just now got home about 20 minutes ago (it is now 8:46 p.m.) I spent a good portion of the time in between driving, chasing around a 5 year old, and having a ton of fun!

Pictures tomorrow for sure!

For now I'm sleeping!

Bluebonnets Baby!

Ok, so I guess I didn't realize just how many people who read my blog would be unaware of what Bluebonnets were. I'm sorry for assuming ya'll would know.

So, for all of you who have been dying to know, here is a personal explanation of Bluebonnet photos.

The Bluebonnet is the Texas state flower. Being proud of anything that represents our state, in the early spring the highway department sprays the seeds of Bluebonnets (and several other kinds of flowers) along the major interstates. This means in early April that the medians and sides of the freeway are blanketed in wild flowers.

The flowers are also naturally occurring in more rural areas of the state, and if you want to see some breathtaking photos of those, check out past issues of Texas Highways magazine. Seriously, their images are AMAZING!

So, it's just sort a tradition for people to drag their kids out there and plop them in the abundance of flowers for photos.

Naturally, we had to get ones with Jackson. They aren't the greatest, but he wasn't too keen about sitting in the bright sunshine for long (I don't blame him really, it was very bright) in tall grass (which I was concerned about critters getting to him) so we took a few and left. But, I got some and that's all that matters. :-)

So now you know.

Here are Bluebonnets with their cousin flower, the Indian Paint Brush.

See, you learned something neat today!

Happy Tuesday!

A layout and birthday photos!

Well here are a few pics from Dave's birthday. We had a good time. His mom made Tamale Pie and Birthday cake, and we spent a gorgeous afternoon on their new screened in porch. It was fun!

The pics are strange, because I was tinkering with the light settings on my camera, only to sort of mess things up. I have sadly never read my user guide for it, but I can tell you.... I will be this week trying to figure out what the heck I did!

Here's a new lo for you to enjoy. I really like it, I think because of all the stars. I have been a scrapping fool lately. I've been working on several projects for design calls as well as a DT call or two, so for those of you who scrap seriously, you KNOW how hectic things have been this last week!

I'm hoping to get all that wrapped up this week. Today maybe, I will be going out with my mom to take Bluebonnet photos of Jackson (its a Texas thing, if you don't know it, google it :-)
We took some this weekend, but he wasn't very cooperative, and the sun was very bright, so maybe our second attempt will be more successful.

Hope you have a great Monday!
