Try that on for size!

I recently made this layout for a contest, and let me tell you, it was so hard to break out of my 12x12 rut (which was the point of the contest)....but once I got going it was really kind of refreshing!

6x12 means only half as much space to worry about filling! You think that would be logical, but it still surprised me. I'm just a goof, what can I say.

I'm not crazy about that photo of myself, but oh well. I think the layout turned out nice.

I used papers and embellishments from my Crop Addict March 08 kit, the only things that aren't from it are the orange scallop cardstock which is Bazzill, the flowers which are by Colorbok, and the "I" and "you" letter stickers which are from the SU! Simply Scrappin' Crew Kids Boy Kit.

I like that I'm trying to do challenges all the time because it really keeps my creative juices flowing.

If you need a challenge, go here. At Scrapdragon they have cool challenges twice a month and giveaway neat prizes (like right now a $15 dollar gift certificate to the Crop Addict store!). You should check it out.

Finally, only eight spots remain for my Crop Night, so if you would like to join us, please contact me through a comment or email! Thanks!

  1. That's a great layout!

I find myself enjoying smaller sizes, either 8 x 10 or the square 7 x 7s. I think mainly because I feel like I'm wasting a page if I only put one or two photos on it. While I admit that a beautifully scrapped page can set off a photo beautifully, I take so MANY pictures that it would take me forever and lots of $$$ to do it that way! lol! So I end up using mostly photo albums and only scrapping some of my most favorite pics.
